This year, Tallangatta celebrated the 70th anniversary of the town’s relocation. This limited-edition tea towel features many of the surnames of residents who lived in the town during that significant period in its history.
The CWA Kurrajong - Tallangatts Country Women's Association and Broken but Stronger worked in partnership to create this mementos of the event and support the CWA in their fundraising efforts. Now that the CWA has sold their supply, we are happy to send these to anyone who orders.
The surnames were taken from the 1954 Australian electoral roll and then compared to other historical documents and feedback for the community.
